Lorry Francois is a Haitian-American actress and model based in New York. Francois who previously lived in Boston, was most recently seen in prime-time NBC TV show Law and Order SUV. Additional film credits include Meet Dave starring Eddie Murphy and The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. She also appeared in the short film Pardon my French directed by James Perkins. Francois trained with Bruce McCarthy at the William Esper studio. She honed her voice and speech skills with the help of Patricia Fletcher. Francois also studied improvisation and cold reading at Sheik Studio under the tutelage of Sheik Mohamed. A passion for dancing jump-started her teaching career in New York, and allowed for gigs at various dance studios throughout the city to come into fruition. Shortly after moving from Boston to the Big Apple at age 18, Francois joined a R&B girl group. Singing is part of her immense talent arsenal also, as is teaching dance at an afterschool program “The Point” in the Bronx. Ms. Francois speaks French fluently, in addition to Spanish and Haitian Creole. Most recently Francois grabbed the opportunity to be a casting agent for a Hyundai car commercial. A music video for Alicia Keys’ “Teenage love Affair” features a cameo by Francois who holds a unique perspective on life. Her view was greatly influenced by the death of her beloved mother at the tender age of 12. It inspired her favorite motto: “don’t stop living.”
